Quarantine Character - Lieke
Risograph Print without frame
Size: 29,7 x 42 cm (A3)
The limited print 'Lieke' is part of the illustration series 'Quarantine Characters'. This illustration series was created during the COVID-19 pandemic when Dutch illustrator Lieke Milder and her boyfriend got stuck in a hostel in Cusco, Peru together with a group of strangers. Lieke lived through a defacto social experiment, each person coping differently with a lockdown in an otherwise pass-through environment. Each 'Quarantine Character' shows a fellow traveller and his or her most iconic behaviour during these extraordinary circumstances.
This illustration is Lieke herself, being bored and observing the others in a quiet moment of the day.
